When we found Alpha Intervention we were all out of options.

One of our most senior Executives was struggling with her drinking and suspected drug use, and we had no idea where to turn, we just knew that when our clients started to notice and raise concern that we had to do something.

We tried to do this on our own, but none of us really knew what we were dealing with, or how bad the situation really was. Our conversation with our colleague backfired, and she began to spiral out of control.

What had been kept relatively secret now raised alarm bells with her clients and competitors and we risked losing significant credibility and income.

The Alpha Intervention team came up with a plan of action that we were all able to get behind, and 2 days after the Intervention meeting she was in treatment.

The relief was tremendous.

We were able to reassure her clients that the problem was being dealt with, and they were surprisingly supportive, most of them having experienced similar situations in their own companies.

What’s been most useful is Kate’s follow up over the last year. The Recovery Coach that we worked with was young and someone our colleague could relate to.
After one relapse the Alpha team moved in and increased the level of treatment adding an Outpatient program which got her back on track.

Our colleague is now back at work and once again a pleasure to work with and a productive leader of her team.
