Executive Intervention is a respectful and compassionate process that allows the addicted individual to maintain dignity while facing the reality of their situation, and the often painful realization that it will no longer be allowed to continue.

How We Work

The Intervention Process

Executive Intervention is a carefully managed therapeutic process.
The Alpha Intervention teams have the experience and training to answer all of the questions that come up not only around addiction but also the business issues the company is facing.

The following is a brief summary of this process:

The Assessment

A thorough assessment of the situation takes place between the Executives of the company and the Alpha intervention team.
A course of action that fits the circumstances is decided upon. Treatment options and after-care program are chosen and the consequences of the person not accepting treatment are clearly outlined and agreed upon.

The Intervention

The Alpha Intervention team creates an environment where the potentially difficult conversation can take place.

The problem and its effects on the company are outlined clearly to the Executive.

The individual is reassured that a potential solution is available to them should they choose to accept it.
Treatment solutions are presented, as the Alpha Intervention team guides both the employer and the addicted individual toward effective and realistic solutions to the problem.

Should the individual, having had the issues clearly outlined, not accept the treatment and after care plan being offered, at that stage the consequences of not accepting treatment are laid out. These vary and are ready to be implemented immediately in order for them to have the greatest impact and leverage.

In over 90% of cases the treatment is accepted and the after- care plan followed successfully.

Executive Intervention is a respectful and compassionate process that allows the addicted individual to maintain dignity while facing up to the reality of their situation, and the often painful realization that it will no longer be allowed to continue.

Early and effective Intervention of an Executives addiction-related crisis can have a profound and positive impact on an organization. Executive intervention is the first step on the road to recovery, protecting companies from the negative effects of the addictive behavior.

Re-Entry to the Workplace

What happens when the person leaves treatment and has to return to work?

This is the hardest part of the process, and where many Executives relapse and fail.

The Alpha Intervention Re-entry program puts Recovery Coaches in place to help the individual transition back into their job and role, in a way that encourages their success, confidence and sobriety.

In addition a stringent, contractual one year program of random drug and alcohol testing and after-care therapy are mandated to give the individual and their employer the maximum chance of long term success.
