Alpha Workplace Re-entry Program
The Alpha Intervention Re-Entry Program
The goal of the Alpha Recovery Coaching and Re-Entry program is to provide our clients with support and guidance as they return to work and their lives, having completed a course of Chemical Dependency residential treatment.
The Alpha extended after-care team work with the individual and their company for 6 months to a year, instituting a testing program, ongoing support and recovery coaching.
In essence the Recovery Coaches job is to act as a bridge between the intense support offered by treatment, and the secondary support of the aftercare program.
Executives tend to be well defended personalities, not used to showing any ‘weakness’ and may be loathe to ask for help or accept offers of support. By building a relationship of trust, the Recovery Coach becomes the person that the client feels they can ask any question of, however simple the questions might seem.
On leaving treatment the reality of the challenges of early recovery and maintaining sobriety become apparent.
The client may feel overwhelmed at the prospect of how much ground they have to make up. How do they rebuild trust and respect amongst their peers and subordinates?
All of the Alpha Recovery Coaches have a strong background in business along with their clinical qualifications.
The aim of this dual experience is to help build trust, empathy and respect so the client knows they have something in common with the Coach, that they’ve “been there” and come out the other side. This sharing of common experience gives the client someone outside of the company who understands their particular issues, who offers confidential support and advice and ease this difficult transition.
Working in partnership with Cerberus Life Management, Alpha Intervention also offer Recovery Companions to our clients where appropriate.
The Cerberus Life Management Recovery Companion program provides confidentiality and anonymity, while supporting clients with one on one guidance, support and mentorship.
Extended care is taken to the next level. By matching clients with a professional Recovery Companion and developing a customized transition plan, clients are able to safely return home, back to work and/or on the road.
When the service of a Sober Companion is engaged, he/she becomes part of the recovery team under the supervision of an Alpha Intervention Recovery Coach.
